Raúl Sánchez

Associate Professor

Raúl SánchezRaúl Sánchez specializes in composition theory, critical theory, decolonial theory, and cultural studies. He teaches courses in these areas as well as in advanced composition and professional communication. He is the author of Inside the Subject: A Theory of Identity for the Study of Writing (NCTE, in press) and The Function of Theory in Composition Studies (SUNY, 2005). He is the co-editor (with Iris D. Ruiz) of Decolonizing Rhetoric and Composition Studies: New Latinx Keywords for Theory and Pedagogy (Palgrave, 2016). His work has appeared in College English, JAC, WPA Journal and various edited collections. He is a member of the Latinx Caucus of NCTE/CCCC and the Cultural Rhetorics Consortium.
