Ivette Rodriguez

Ph.D. Student

 

A light skin hispanic woman with long brown hair, smiles and tilts her head to the left.I am currently a Ph.D Candidate, writing my dissertation on the use of Afro-Caribbean religions in Women’s Literature of the Caribbean. Last semester I taught a course I created, “First-Generation Americans’ Literature of Belonging,” through which I shared various Caribbean writer’s work and current debates with my students. I have published my own research on Caribbean intellectuals through various projects with UF’s Digital Library of the Caribbean. Currently, I am an assistant for the University of Florida Press, which publishes academic titles in Caribbean Studies.
