Luke Rodewald is a PhD candidate specializing in environmental humanities, pedagogy, and ecocriticism. While at UF, he has previously taught courses on the environmental memoir, nature writing, recent environmental fiction and nonfiction, ecomedia, and is currently wrapping up a semester teaching a course on contemporary writing on/about trees. His writing is forthcoming or has previously appeared in venues such as The Journal for Religion, Culture, and Nature, The Journal for Environmental Education, Ecocene, and the Journal of Ecohumanism. Along with Sayantika Chakraborty, he spearheads the department’s Environmental Humanities Reading Group. Luke holds an MA in English Literature from Iowa State University and a B.S. in English Education from Martin Luther College.
