Ph.D. Student
Maxine Donnelly is a Victorian and children’s literature specialist and experienced instructor of both writing and literature courses. Her research focuses on late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century children’s and fantastic literature, particularly the role these genres play in British imperialism and nationalism. When not teaching or writing, Maxine cultivates her Victorian spinster image by embroidering and tinkering with pastry recipes.
