English Department Orientation Day 1

| 1:00-1:45 | Admin and Office Introduction and Welcome
Department Administrative Leaders and core office staff will introduce themselves, clarify their roles, and help you put faces to names. Incoming graduate students will also introduce themselves to the group. | 2:15-3:00 | Getting Oriented (1): PhD + MFA.
Peggy Lowenstein and Leah Rosenberg will review basic orientation details relevant to all students in the program: offices, mailroom, your schedule and getting ready for your fall classes, the course preference process, understanding your FTE, and more. We will circulate a handout ahead and you can ask questions during the session. Please check your email Monday for handout. |

Current students in the PhD and MFA programs visit orientation to introduce themselves, offer a snapshot of their work, and answer your questions about pursuing your interest areas while at UF. Featured speakers: Felipe González-Silva |
