Lindsey Scott

Ph.D. Student

Lindsey Scott is an English Ph.D. student at the University of Florida. Her research mostly focuses on issues of gender and identity in 19th century literature and popular culture. She also dabbles in modernism by way of Irish literature. Lindsey has presented her work at several conferences including the Victorians Institute and the American Conference for Irish Studies. Her Master’s project, completed Spring 2024, focused on research, writing, and pedagogy surrounding fairy tales and fairy-tale structures in late Victorian New Woman fiction.

Lindsey has taught several undergraduate writing, literature, and film classes at UF. She is particularly proud of the special topics course she designed exploring the Bluebeard tale in retelling and adaptation.
