Claire Karnap

Originally from Georgia, Claire Beth Karnap received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbus State University (CSU) in 2015. During her final year at CSU, she studied literature abroad at the Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of English, where she completed her MA in the spring of 2018. She has experience teaching upper and lower-division literature courses and technical writing for the English department, in addition to teaching composition and engineering writing courses for the University Writing Program. Her research interests include women’s well-being, sensibility, and space in eighteenth and nineteenth-century British literature. In her spare time, Claire likes to travel, bake, run, and spend time with her dog.
