Ange Mlinko is the author of six collections of poetry. Her seventh collection, Foxglovewise, will be published in January 2025 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in the U.S., and Faber in the U.K. Her new book of lyrical criticism, Difficult Ornaments: Florida and the Poets will be published by Oxford University Press in the fall of 2024. Her last poetry collection, Venice, was widely reviewed, including in the New York Times and the London Times Literary Supplement.

Mlinko is the former poetry editor of the Nation, and her work has appeared in Poetry, the New Yorker, the Paris Review, The London Review of Books, and the New York Review of Books. She has won the Randall Jarrell Award in Criticism, the Frederick Bock Prize, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. She is currently the poetry editor of the University of Florida’s literary journal, Subtropics.

Professor Mlinko teaches poetry workshops and forms classes to upper-division undergraduates and MFA students.
