Carlynn Crosby (she/her) is pursuing a PhD in English with a research focus on Florida literature, the citrus industry, and ecocriticism. She holds a BA in English and a BS in Public Relations from the University of Florida, as well as an MA in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi, where she was co-president of the Graduate Association for Food Studies. A former award-winning food writer, she has published in both academic and trade outlets, including Gastronomica; the Graduate Journal of Food Studies; and the Tampa Bay Times. She currently works as an assistant acquisitions editor at the University Press of Florida, where she acquires in medieval literature and Florida literature.
