English Department Orientation Day 3

11:00-12:30 Info for PhD students

Join Graduate Team Leah Rosenberg, Peggy Lowenstein, and possibly Roger Maioli (Associate Graduate Coordinator) for a snapshot of navigating the program, key program requirements, the MA degree option (for BA-only holders), and other useful points of information.  Check your email for a handout; we will review the handout, your questions, and other helpful information.  This session is for incoming PhD students only.  (MFA students should skip this session)

1:00-1:30 EGO

EGO Officers will introduce themselves, offer a snapshot of the activities they have planned for fall, and discuss ways to be involved with EGO.  EGO works closely with the Graduate Coordinator for advocacy and assistance, provides leadership on core topics tied to program development and success, and offers supportive programming. President Debakanya Haldar; Vice President Cristovão Nwachukwu ; Treasurer Emily Hunsaker; Secretary  Chandler Mordecai; Outreach coordinator Judy Colindres.

1:45-2:45 Faculty Meet and Greet

English Department faculty will introduce themselves, say a word about their future courses and/or interests, and help all of us put faces to names.

3:00-5:00 Library session,  led by Tiffany Esteban, Jeanne Ewert, Ramona Capronegra in the  Scott Nygren Studio, Library West. Please note that the section half of this session may not be available via Zoom.
