John Murchek holds a B.A. from Trinity College in the University of Toronto (specialist in English, major in history), and A.M. and Ph.D. degrees in English from Brown University. He is the English Department’s Undergraduate Coordinator. In that capacity, he advises undergraduate English majors on issues related to their coursework for the major, and works on the development of the English Department’s schedule of courses. He also teaches upper-division undergraduate courses for the English Department. His teaching interests include English Renaissance literature and culture, criticism and theory from ancient times to the present, and the history of poetry.
