Ph.D. Student
Kara Frasca (she/her) is a first-year Ph.D. student in the English Department at the University of Florida. Her research interests include feminist disability studies, Victorian studies, popular culture, children’s literature, and literature of the global anglophone. She earned a B.A. in History and English, as well as an M.A. in English from Florida International University. Her Master’s thesis, “Devouring Disability: Hierarchies and Disability in Ascendance of a Bookworm,” reflects her interest in disability as a globally-found, yet culturally-specific political category.
