Lindsey Scott

Ph.D. Student

Lindsey Scott is pursuing her Ph.D. in English at the University of Florida. She studies gender, disease, and identity in 19th century literature and popular culture. She also dabbles in modernism by way of Irish literature. Lindsey has presented her work at several conferences including the Victorians Institute and the American Conference for Irish Studies. She is currently working on a project for her Master’s degree focusing on Victorian New Woman fiction and the fairy tale.

Lindsey has taught several undergraduate writing, literature, and film classes at UF. She is particularly proud of the special topics course she designed exploring the Bluebeard tale in retelling and adaptation.
