Ph.D. Student
Sayantika Chakraborty is a second year PhD student in the Department of English, University of Florida. Her areas of interest cater to but are not limited to, environmental humanities (with specific focus on the global South/India), ecofeminism, postcolonial and decolonial methodologies, climate migration, and female authored speculative fictions.
Chakraborty completed her BA, MA, and MPhil in English literature from Calcutta, India and taught lower level and advanced courses (both general and related to her expertise) for five years prior to joining UF. At UF, she has taught (as an instructor on record) composition courses in UWP and introduction to literature and survey of English literature courses in the department.
