Ph.D. Student
Sophia Pan is an English PhD student at the University of Florida. Her research lies in Asian American children’s literature and YA comics, with a focus on graphic memoirs. In researching these fields, Sophia’s goals are to not only shed light on diverse published works that illuminate the multi-faceted Asian American identity but to also uncover the ways in which memories are produced, remembered, and re-envisioned in literature. She has taught the courses AML2070 Survey of American Literature: Marginalized Voices in America and AML2410: Asian American Identities.
