Ph.D. Student
Varsha Anirudhan is a PhD candidate in the Department of English at the University of Florida. Her research interests include medical humanities, comics studies (specifically graphic medicine), and visual medical history. She holds an M.Phil. and M.A. in English from the University of Delhi and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala. Her M.Phil. dissertation explored the visual iconography of bipolar disorder in two contemporary graphic medical narratives. Her current project focuses on the evolution of the iconography of pain in the comic medium.
