Ph.D. Student
William Iffland is a 2nd-year PhD student in the English Department at the University of Florida. He is currently interested in how the Lacanian theory of subjectivity conceives of infinity and universality in philosophically novel ways that not only undermine the relativist view of history and culture, but that furthermore afford the methodological grounds necessary to read literature in ways that take seriously–rather than disavow–its revolutionary potential.
Fields of Study:
- Modernism
- Psychoanalytic Theory
